A farmer owned an old mule that fell into a well. After assessing the situation, the farmer reluctantly concluded that neither the mule nor the well was worth saving. Instead, he called his neighbors together and enlisted them to help bury the old mule In the well and put him out of his misery.
Initially the old mule was frantic, but as the dirt kept hitting his back, something happened. It dawned on the mule that every time a shove load landed on his back, he should Shake It Off and Step Up!
This he did, blow after blow. Shake it off and step up…shake it off and step up. No matter how painful the blows or how distressing the situation, the old mule fought panic and just kept right on Shaking It Off And Stepping Up!
Before long, the old mule, battered and exhausted, stepped triumphantly through the mouth of that well. What seemed like it would bury him, actually helped him…all because of how he handled his adversity.
We just keep shaking it off and stepping it up over, and over, and over… relentlessly.

FLORIDA COURT SETS ATHEIST HOLY DAY
In Florida , an atheist created a case against the upcoming Easter and Passover holy days. He hired an attorney to bring a discrimination case against Christians, Jews and observances of their holy days.
The argument was that it was unfair that atheists had no such recognized days. The case was brought before a judge. After listening to the passionate presentation by the lawyer, the judge banged his gavel declaring,” Case dismissed!"
The lawyer immediately stood objecting to the ruling saying, "Your honor, how can you possibly dismiss this case? The Christians have Christmas, Easter and others. The Jews have Passover, Yom Kippur and Hanukkah, yet my client and all other atheists have no such holidays."
The judge leaned forward in his chair saying, "But you do. Your client, counsel, is woefully ignorant." The lawyer said, "Your Honor, we are unaware of any special observance or holiday for atheists."
The judge said, "The calendar says April 1st is April Fools Day. Psalm 14:1 states, 'The fool says in his heart, there is no God.' Thus, it is the opinion of this court, that if your client says there is no God, then he is a fool. Therefore, April 1st is his day. Court is adjourned.
You gotta love a Judge that knows his scripture!

Family Reunion - Things Truly Do Happen for a Reason
Beautiful story... makes you understand that all things truly do happen for a reason.
The brand new pastor and his wife, newly assigned to their first ministry, to reopen a church in suburban Brooklyn, arrived in early October, excited about their opportunities. When they saw their church, it was very run down and needed much work. They set a goal to have everything done in time to have their first service on Christmas Eve.
They worked hard, repairing pews, plastering walls, painting, etc, and on December 18 were ahead of schedule and just about finished.
On December 19 a terrible tempest - a driving rainstorm hit the area and lasted for two days.
On the 21st, the pastor went over to the church. His heart sank when he saw that the roof had leaked, causing a large area of plaster about 20 feet by 8 feet to fall off the front wall of the sanctuary just behind the pulpit, beginning about head high.
The pastor cleaned up the mess on the floor, and not knowing what else to do but postpone the Christmas Eve service, headed home. On the way he noticed that a local business was having a flea market type sale for charity so he stopped in. One of the items was a beautiful, hand made, ivory colored, crocheted tablecloth with exquisite work, fine colors and a Cross embroidered right in the center. It was just the right size to cover up the hole in the front wall. He bought it and headed back to the church.
By this time it had started to snow. An older woman running from the opposite direction was trying to catch the bus.. She missed it. The pastor invited her to wait in the warm church for the next bus 45 minutes later. She sat in a pew and paid no attention to the pastor while he got a ladder, hangers, etc., to put up the tablecloth as a wall tapestry.
The pastor could hardly believe how beautiful it looked and it covered up the entire problem area.
Then he noticed the woman walking down the center aisle. Her face was like a sheet... 'Pastor,’ she asked, 'where did you get that tablecloth?'
The pastor explained. The woman asked him to check the lower right corner to see if the initials, EBG were crocheted into it there. They were. These were the initials of the woman. She had made this tablecloth 35 years before in Austria.
The woman could hardly believe it as the pastor told how he had just gotten the Tablecloth. The woman explained that before the war she and her husband were well-to-do people in Austria. When the Nazis came, she was forced to leave. Her husband was going to follow her the next week. He was captured, sent to prison and she never saw her husband or her home again.
The pastor wanted to give her the tablecloth, but she made the pastor keep it for the church. The pastor insisted on driving her home; that was the least he could do... She lived on the other side of Staten Island and was only in Brooklyn for the day for a housecleaning job.
What a wonderful service they had on Christmas Eve. The church was almost full. The music and the spirit were great. At the end of the service, the pastor and his wife greeted everyone at the door and many said that they would return.
One older man, whom the pastor recognized from the neighborhood continued to sit in one of the pews and stare, and the pastor wondered why he wasn't leaving.

*MUSLIM * Something for all of us to read *
This is a true story and the author, Rick Mathes, is a well-known leader in prison ministry. The man who walks with God always gets to his destination. If you have a pulse you have a purpose.
The Muslim religion is the fastest growing religion per capita in the United States, especially in the minority races!
Last month I attended my annual training session that's required for maintaining my state prison security clearance. During the training session there was a presentation by three speakers representing the Roman Catholic, Protestant and Muslim faiths, who explained each of their beliefs.
I was particularly interested in what the Islamic Imam had to say.. The Imam gave a great presentation of the basics of Islam, complete with a video. After the presentations, time was provided for questions and answers. When it was my turn, I directed my question to the Imam and asked: 'Please, correct me if I'm wrong, but I understand that most Imams and clerics of Islam have declared a holy jihad [Holy war] against the infidels of the world and, that by killing an infidel, (which is a command to all Muslims) they are assured of a place in heaven. If that's the case, can you give me the definition of an infidel?'
There was no disagreement with my statements and,without hesitation, he replied, 'Non-believers!' I responded, 'So, let me make sure I have this straight. All followers of Allah have been commanded to kill everyone who is not of your faith so they can have a place in heaven.
Is that correct?'
The expression on his face changed from one of authority and command to that of a little boy who had just been caught with his hand in the cookie jar. He sheepishly replied, 'Yes.'
I then stated, 'Well, sir, I have a real problem trying to imagine Pope John Paul commanding all Catholics to kill those of your faith or Dr. Stanley ordering all Protestants to do the same in order to guarantee them a place in heaven!' The Imam was speechless! I continued, 'I also have a problem with being your friend when you and your brother clerics are telling your followers to kill me! Let me ask you a question:
Would you rather have your Allah, who tells you to kill me in order for you to go to heaven, or my Jesus who tells me to love you because I am going to heaven and He wants you to be there with me?'
You could have heard a pin drop as the Imam hung his head in shame.
Needless to say, the organizers and/or promoters of the Diversification training seminar were not happy with my way of dealing with the Islamic Imam, and exposing the truth about the Muslims' beliefs.
In twenty years there will be enough Muslim voters in the U.S. to elect the President! I think everyone in the U.S. should be required to read this, but with ACLU, there is no way this will be widely publicized, unless each of us send it on!

Sao Chúa yêu được con? Con kính yêu Ngài luôn. Dâng Chúa tấm lòng con. Xin quản cai đời con.
2. Chúa Cứu Thế Giê-xu chăn dắt con trong mọi nẻo đường. Tôn vinh Cha đời đời, con chẳng còn ham muốn trần gian. Dù ai thay dời, dù ai nao lòng, càng tin Giê-xu.

Dù cho phong ba, đầy cám dỗ vây quanh con hằng ngày. Dù ai ngã nghiêng, con luôn quyết đi theo Giê-xu. Ngài là Đường Đi, là Chân Lý, Sự Sống của con. Trung kiên theo Chúa, dù gian khó quyết nương nơi Ngài.

Dù ai khinh chê lòng con quyết tin theo Vua Giê-xu. Tội con Chúa tha, tâm trong trắng, tâm linh an bình. Ngài là bình an, Thần Chân Lý, sông nước Thánh Linh. Con vui theo Chúa, truyền Danh Chúa, Phúc Âm cho người.

1. Ai ơi có thấu chăng nỗi lòng người xa đất nước, xa gia đình, đi làm tại Ma-lai? Vừa đặt chân xuống Ma-lai giấy tờ bị người ta lấy hết. Xe đưa về chỗ làm liền nhanh ghê!
Tưởng rằng sung sướng ai ơi, đâu ngờ đời bao gian khó, thương đau nhiều, tủi hờn, buồn khôn nguôi.
Trời cao kia có thấu chăng? Nỗi lòng con khốn khổ, làm sao ai hiểu được những mảnh đời tang thương.
Chúa ơi, con thành tâm khẩn nguyện, xin Ngài luôn ban phước cho cuộc đời mỗi ngày của con. Lòng thành tôn kính Danh Cha, con tôn thờ Giê-xu Cứu Chúa. Trong Danh Ngài an bình, cuộc đời tươi vui.

2. Giê-xu Chúa kính yêu những gì lòng con xin Chúa, nhân Danh Ngài, Chúa đều làm cho con. Hằng ngày đi nhóm, thông công, có Ngài cuộc đời con vui quá. Trong Danh Ngài những ngày buồn tan mau.
Bởi nhờ Giê-xu ai ơi, đau buồn giờ đây tan biến, yêu thương Ngài chữa lành hồn, linh, thân.
Từ khi con có Giê-xu những niềm vui chớm nở. Làm sao con hiểu được ân của Ngài cho con.

1. Nào nhanh chân ta vui bước lên xe. Vui thật vui đến hát ca, ta học Lời Ngài. Cùng nhau ta vui ca hát, tôn vinh Danh Giê-xu. Cứu Chúa ta muôn đời còn hoài.

1. Có Cứu Chúa Giê-xu đi với con trong cuộc đời này. Bao gian lao hằng ngày không thể nào so sánh tình Cha. Tình yêu đời đời, tình yêu Giê-xu, tình yêu hy sinh.
Sao Chúa yêu được con? Con kính yêu Ngài luôn. Dâng Chúa tấm lòng con. Xin quản cai đời con.
2. Chúa Cứu Thế Giê-xu chăn dắt con trong mọi nẻo đường. Tôn vinh Cha đời đời, con chẳng còn ham muốn trần gian. Dù ai thay dời, dù ai nao lòng, càng tin Giê-xu.
Con chỉ yêu Ngài thôi. Xa lánh bao tội ô. Xin Thánh Linh quyền năng ban sức thiêng tràn tuôn.
3. Có Đức Thánh Linh Cha luôn giáng trên, con thuộc về Ngài. Chăm lo công việc Ngài ta phải cần ân tứ, quyền năng. Giòng sông trong lòng, tình yêu tuôn tràn, tình yêu Cha ban.
Mau đến bên Giê-xu. Xin Chúa tha tội con. Xin Chúa vô lòng con. Con kính dâng đời con.
4. Dẫu sóng gió phong ba, bao khó nguy, vui buồn, hiểm nghèo, con luôn tin Giê-xu luôn đi cùng con khắp mọi nơi. Dầu vui hay buồn, dầu sang hay nghèo lòng con không phai.
Vui bước theo Giê-xu. Ân điển luôn tràn tuôn. Trong Chúa con bình an. Giê-xu Vua đời con.
Xin Thánh Linh tràn tuôn, bông trái, ân, quyền năng tuôn đổ trên đời con. Dâng Chúa cả đời con.

1. Con cầu xin Chúa ban ân thiêng liêng trên trời. Gia đình bình an, niềm hạnh phúc từ Trời chứa chan. Con tạ ân Cha sự chu cấp hằng ngày Chúa ban. Dù xa cách người thương mến hằng ngày ngóng trông. Lòng con luôn nhờ cậy Cha mến yêu, tôn thờ Ngài.
Dù cho phong ba, đầy cám dỗ vây quanh con hằng ngày. Dù ai ngã nghiêng, con luôn quyết đi theo Giê-xu. Ngài là Đường Đi, là Chân Lý, Sự Sống của con. Trung kiên theo Chúa, dù gian khó quyết nương nơi Ngài.

Passion to Do the Things God Has Called You to Do
Mark Sanborn in the Encore Effect shares a story about passion.
He cited John Wesley who was forbidden by the Anglican Church to preach from its pulpits. So, he would ride out into the countryside, pick a spot in an open field, and begin to preach.
Someone once asked John Wesley how he was able to attract such large crowds with his preaching. Wesley responded, "I simply set myself on fire and people come to watch me burn."
That's passion. What you do and how you do are both important.
Passion is the fuel.
No one will be more passionate about your performance than you are yourself.
It's up to you to do to get people excited about who you are and what you do.
I am excited about life; I am excited about the will of God for my life and moving forward to be where God wants me to be so that His plan will be fulfilled in my life.
I want more of God in my life. How about you?
God loves me; He is going to bless me; He is going to multiply me 100 fold over and over again.
I am in a position, a place where I am expecting to receive more of God so that I can give more of God, share more of God with you.
