A wayward child found the way back to the Father

Out of no where, I got a chance to reconnect with a friend who had been struggling with alcoholism. AA does not seem to help. Medicine temporarily meets her needs. The emotional pain needs to be healed. The craving for alcohol needs to be removed. She needs to be delivered. God is the answer. She needs God badly back into her life. No more playing game with God and with life. Other people depend on her decision today. U-turn is possible back onto the right path of righteousness.

The pain of the past was just too much to bear. The lost of trust in man, her very own father and mother caused her to drift into alcoholism to numb the pain. The hurt, disappointment, broken trust have been heavy on her heart.

She had struggled to fight the battles with her own strength, and many times promising God and herself not to do it again, but this time it seemed different. It seems that the Holy Spirit has taken a hold of her today. Today is the day. A new beginning starts with confession and a repentant heart.

She is willing the pay the price, no matter what the cost is, to have her life restored back to wholeness. The devil can no longer mess around with her life. She has gotten only one life to live now for God.

She could not go on another day being bound by poverty, homelessness and alcoholism. Through listening to the Psalms 18-28 read, her faith is built up; her trust in God is restored. The Spirit broke her heart down and healed it back up. God humbled her and brought her down very low and then restored her back to wholeness again. What a mighty God we serve. The devil is defeated. Demons are bound and cast out, sent back to the abyss forever. They are never permitted to be returned.

The truth has set her free. Jesus is Lord of her heart and master of her life. Her tears of joy reflected the disappearing of the sorrow of her heart. She desires to read God's Word and to worship God and to fellowship with other believers so she can grow her faith and restart her life.

There are so many dreams to be fulfilled. There is hope after all. In God's time He makes everything beautiful. A repentant, contrite and broken heart God will not despise. God does restore people back to life and life abundantly through Christ Jesus. Joy is present where God's presence is manifested. Praise the Lord.

Thanks be to God.
