Dreams are beautiful. They are God’s gifts to us. Dreams excite us. Big dreams excite us big time. Dreams, beliefs and actions make dreams a reality. What are your dreams? Remember this always, “Never, never let anyone steal your dreams.” They are yours to realize. Treasure them. Hold them dear to your heart. Keep on dreaming when others already quit on their dreams.
We all want to accomplish the special things in our lives. These special things are our dreams, the things that are dear to our hearts since we were very young. We all have short term and long term goals to accomplish. We want to achieve a certain level of education. We want to have a good and decent job. We want to earn good income to provide well for our families, to have nicer things to enjoy, to help with charity works, to travel all around the world, to do mission works among the poorest of the poor, to have the time and the money and the freedom to do whatever we want to do, when we want to do it with available resources and time to do it with.
We all talk about our dreams with anticipation and great excitement. We all want to succeed and to move forward learning new things everyday. Do you keep your dreams before you?
Dreaming is great, but we need to do the things that are required to succeed. When you learn to do whatever other people don’t want to do and inconvenience your life for just a short while in order to achieve your dreams, you will achieve what you set out to do with God’s help. We must go through the struggles, overcome the challenges to grow strong. They are parts of life. However, we must learn to avoid distractions and to stay clear of temptations to take the easy roads or the wide roads that lead no where or to destruction. We should never short-cut any corner in order to succeed. We should never lie, cheat, steal, kill or destroy to succeed.
We must also learn how to handle objections, criticism, the negatives, the naysayers effectively. When going through the struggles as we always will, we cannot and should not ever quit when the going gets tough. We must realize that we are closer to the goals than we first started on our journey to success, to realizing our dreams. Success is a journey not a destination of finally arriving to a predetermined place in our mind.
I don’t know about you or what your dreams are, but I believe we all have a dear dream that we keep close to our hearts; "I have a dream," Martin Luther King Jr. said. No matter how small or big our dreams are they are important to us; we all want to do something great with our lives, to be significant and to make a difference in someone else’s life.
The struggles will always be there to test your faith, to increase your strength and to make you strong. You’ve got to find your inner strength and to overcome the struggles to grow. You can make adjustments, fine tune your direction, but you cannot quit. For winners never quit, and quitters will never win in life.
You don’t want to live with regrets. You don’t want to live with painful memories of all the what ifs. It is not the regrets of the things that you did that really hurt you; it’s the things that you do not do. I want to live life fully beyond any limits of possibility and venture into the realm of impossibility where God is. God says in His Word that nothing is impossible to God.
Dare to do something great with your life. It’s the only life you will have here on earth. Be ready to give an account of what you have done with your life, with the gifts that God has given to you to do. Leave a legacy behind for others to see. Dream big, Believe in your dream; believe in God and in yourself as well, then work hard to achieve all your dreams.
At the end of the journey, you can reflect back and give thanks to God for all the great things that He is able to do through you. Dream on. Dream big.
Let’s get to work to make the dreams come true. Together we can change someone’s life. Together we can impact our communities and transform the world.
