"The seat of Satan" mentioned in the letter to Pergamos church, one of the seven churches in Revelation lies in Turkey. Satan, the fallen angel, forever wants to seat on God's throne. Satan wants to be praised and worshipped. He lies and tricks people into worshiping him. He yearns for vain and fading glory. He was either enthroned or dethroned in the hearts and lives of many people.
Satan and all his fallen angels haven been around for thousands of years dominating the earth, ruling his kingdom of darkness and ravaging lives with all kinds of lies, deceptions and delusions. He is roaming around still today looking for those whom he will lie to, cheat, steal, kill and destroy. He has destructive power if we have let him. Scripture reminds us, "The one who is in us is bigger than the one who is in the world."
On the other hand, the throne of God is in heaven. Angels are worshiping God. The saints are praising God day and night. Jesus is seating at the right hand of the Father interceding for us. Moreover, the throne of God is also in the hearts of the children of God. God wants us to praise, to worship and to serve Him forever. He is enthroned among the praises of His people. We are to glorify God the Father, Jesus the Son and God the Holy Spirit through our words and deeds and the attitude of thanksgiving and gratefulness to God, our Savior, our Redeemer, our Sustainer, our Healer and our Deliverer.
God throughout the ages have come to earth to interact with man, His beloved creature. He loves to fellowship with man, walking with Adam and Eve in the cool of the day. He loves to see man walk in His way, do His will, and live out His plans. At various times and in various ways, God used many prophets, judges, and servants to call man back to Himself. In the last days, He has sent Jesus to come to die on the cross to save man from sin. He is risen to rescue those who trust in Him from the pit of Hell and the Lake of fire. He wants to bless us His children with life and life more abundantly. He has written our names in His book of life, the book of the Lamb in heaven. God's awesome power is manifested in us and through obedient children of God.
In Jesus and through Jesus living in us through the Holy Spirit's presence in our lives, in His Name, the Name above every other names and in His authority, we, Jesus Christ's believers and servants of God shall break the power of Satan, the power of the enemy and cut off Satan influence in our lives, in the lives of people in our communities, in our nation and in the nations of the world. Wherever the Gospel is spread, God's power is manifested, souls are saved and brought into the kingdom of God, and lives have been changed forever.
In the Name of Jesus, Yeshua, you and I can break the power of Satan and declare "The Kingdom of God is at hand." "Today, salvation has come into this house."
Will you be bold in your faith to live your life fully surrendered to God? Will you be so willing to yield yourself completely to the Holy Spirit so that He can freely use you in whichever way He wants to accomplish His will? Will you diligently seek God first and His kingdom and let God meet you in your daily encounter with Him through the Word? Will you listen attentively as you sit at the feet of Jesus hearing His eternal truth, feeling God's compassionate heart and committing to do God's will no matter what the cost is?
Dare you believe in God and in His Word and exercise your faith so that when you see a deadly disease, a terminal cancer, a horrible sickness or just a simple illness you can rise up in your spirit praying in the Name of Jesus to heal the sick, to cleanse the lepers, to raise the dead, to cast out demons! Freely you have received, freely give. (Matthew 10:8)
So, open your eyes. Lift up your hearts. Renew your minds. Offer yourselves as living sacrifices, holy and acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. Be filled with the Holy Spirit and His power. Walk by the Holy Spirit. Be led by the Holy Spirit. Receive your gifts. Develop God's gifts. Rekindle the gifts in you. Exercise your gifts. Pray. Pray some more. Pray with someone. Sing. Praise. Be filled again and again with the Holy Spirit as you need to and let God's anointing rest upon you as you study the Scripture, preach the Word, share a message of hope, comfort a loved one, feed the hungry, give someone thirsty a drink, welcome a stranger, clothe the naked, visit the sick, visit the ones in prison, and do something small to one of the least of these, hear Jesus saying in the end, "Good and faithful servants" and receive the rewards.
What a life God has in store for you and me!
